This Friday (10), coach Dorival Júnior called up the players of the Brazilian National Team who will compete in the 2024 Copa América, in the United States, which begins in June.

The coach revealed the reason why striker Richarlison, from Tottenham, is not on the list of 23 names for the competition.

Dorival Júnior, coach of the Brazilian National Team, revealed that Richarlison has a calf injury. The striker played in Tottenham’s last match, in the defeat against Liverpool, and even scored a goal.

The injury is a surprise, as even the English team had not publicly revealed the problem:

“Richarlison was not called up for the Copa América also due to a new injury suffered. He is not available, had a new injury and that’s why he is not on the list”.

Due to this injury, it’s highly unlikely that Richarlison will be back to the Tottenham Hotspur’s squad this season.
