The news took the football world by surprise: coach Jürgen Klopp announced that he will leave Liverpool at the end of this season. “I can understand that it’s a shock to a lot of people right now when you hear it the first time. “I can explain it, I don’t have enough energy,” the German told the club’s media when announcing his departure.

Klopp joined the English team in October 2015 and since then has won six major titles, including the Champions League and the Premier League. This season he is still fighting for the Premier League (he is at the top), he is in the final of the League Cup, qualified for the fourth round of the FA Cup and in the round of 16 of the Europa League.

The Brazilian players who wore the uniform the most times with Klopp

Roberto Firmino

The forward leads the number of appearances under the orders of the German, with 355 games, followed by Mo Salah (332) and James Milner (323). The footballer who is currently at Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia is also third in the number of goals with 111, behind his former teammates from a historic forward: Salah (204) and Sadio Mané (120).

Alisson

The goalkeeper arrived at Liverpool in mid-2018 and since then he has become a fixture between the three sticks. He participated in 252 matches coached by Klopp and was key in winning the Champion and Premier League titles in his first two seasons at the institution. As a colorful fact, he also scored a goal during this time, against West Bromwich Albion, the first goal scored by a goalkeeper in a professional competition for the club.

Fabinho

The defensive midfielder played 219 games in six seasons with Klopp providing direction from the bench. He came to the Reds as a reference in Monaco and maintained that solidity in the English team. After winning the main competitions with Liverpool, in the middle of last year he left for Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.

Philippe Coutinho

The midfielder had the best moment of his career in the three seasons he shared a team with Klopp. He played 89 games under his command, in which he scored 37 goals and gave 22 assists. That potential was what led him to be transferred to FC Barcelona in January 2018 in an operation valued at 160 million euros if the variables are added.
