Brazil and Mexico will face each other on June 8 in the United States as part of their respective preparations for the 2024 Copa América. The match will be at 9:30 PM (Brasilia time) at the Kyle Field stadium, located in the state of Texas and with a huge capacity of over 100,000 spectators.

For the team led by Dorival Júnior, it will be the first test after starting the squad’s concentration in Orlando, Florida a few days ago. Goalkeepers Bento (Athletico Paranaense) and Rafael (São Paulo), defender Guilherme Arana (Atlético Mineiro) and striker Endrick, close to officially signing from Palmeiras to Real Madrid, were the latest to arrive.

From Europe, one of the latest to join is midfielder Ederson, Europa League champion with Atalanta. The last ones to arrive will be the three from Real Madrid (Vinicius, Rodrygo and Éder Militão) who will arrive tomorrow after the celebrations for having won the Champions League.

Brazil will then play another friendly against host United States on June 12, in Orlando. In the Copa América, they will be part of Group D along with Costa Rica, Paraguay and Colombia.

Mexico first faces Uruguay

For their part, Mexico won 1-0 against Bolivia last Friday, with a goal from Efraín Álvarez, in a friendly that took place in Chicago. El Tri fielded an alternative team, mostly made up of U-23 players who will be at the 2024 Toulon Tournament that starts this week.

Today they will have a new test in Denver, this time against Uruguay. The Mexican team led by Jaime Lozano will now have names that are expected to be starters, although not everyone will be there either, as there are players like Erick Sánchez and Bryan González, both coming from being Concacaf Champions League champions with Pachuca, who will join the squad in the coming days.
