On Friday afternoon (10), coach Dorival Júnior announced, at the headquarters of the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation), the 23 players called up for the Brazilian national team who will compete in the Copa América.

The competition, which involves teams from South America, North America and Central America, begins on June 20 and ends on July 14, being played in the United States.

Which called-up players were at the 2022 World Cup?

  • A total of 11 players among those called up by Dorival Júnior were at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar;
  • They are: goalkeepers Alisson and Ederson, full-back Danilo, center-backs Éder Militão and Marquinhos, midfielders Bruno
  • Guimarães and Lucas Paquetá and forwards Gabriel Martinelli, Raphinha, Rodrygo and Vinícius Júnior;
    Among the most notable absences compared to the Qatar World Cup are defender Thiago Silva and midfielder Casemiro.
