Ludogorets won the Bulgarian League this Saturday. The white and green club beat CSKA Sofia 3-1 and lifted the trophy at the end of the match. One of the protagonists of this league conquest is the Brazilian striker Rwan Cruz, who was revealed by Santos and had a stint with Vasco in 2023.

The player was one of the team’s top scorers in the competition. In total, there were 28 games, 11 goals and five assists. Jersey number 99 celebrated the new conquest with the Bulgarian club’s jersey. At the beginning of the season, he had already won the Bulgarian Super Cup in February.

“Two titles so far in my first season here, I’m very happy about that. It’s a unique moment in my career and I want to enjoy it a lot. It’s not easy to adapt to a new country, it’s all very different, but I’m happy that I was able to. It’s a process that takes time, but everything gets much better with the achievement of our goals at the end of the season,” said the player.

Ludogorets won the National League for the 13th consecutive time. In the first phase of the competition, the team amassed 75 points in 30 games, which made the team reach the top spot overall, qualifying for the title playoffs. In the second part, a draw and the last victory were enough to guarantee another trophy. Rwan commented that one of the reasons he signed with the club was the winning history in the national scenario.

“When I arrived at Ludogorets, I knew it was a very traditional team in Bulgaria. They fought for all competitions, especially the national ones, and I am very honored to be part of another beautiful page in the club’s history. Winning titles is always very good and they are the fruits of a very well-done job by the team,” the player concluded.

At 22 years old, Rwan stood out initially in the youth categories of Santos, in the vice-championship of the 2022 São Paulo Junior Football Cup and competed for the award for the best player of the competition. There were nine games, six goals and two assists.

For Santos’ professional team, Rwan played 37 games and scored five. The player also passed through the youth divisions of Flamengo de Guarulhos and has a loan stint at Vasco da Gama.
