Last Thursday (13), Athletico faced Criciúma at the Ligga Arena in Curitiba, in the eighth round of the Brazilian Championship.

The game was marked by emotional twists and turns, with Criciúma opening the scoring with Barreto in the first half.

However, the Hurricane did not give in and turned the game around with two goals from Mastriani and another from Cuello, securing a 3-1 victory.

Position in the table and upcoming matches

With this victory, Athletico reached the third position in the table, now adding 16 points. Meanwhile, Criciúma remains in 17th place, with five points accumulated so far.

For the next matches, Athletico will face Flamengo on Sunday (16), at 4pm (Brasilia time). Criciúma, on the other hand, will have a clash against Bahia on the same day, at 6:30 pm, at the Heriberto Hülse stadium.
