Fabrício Bruno decides to stay at Flamengo

With the values agreed between Flamengo and West Ham, Fabrício Bruno’s move was already considered a done deal. But on Wednesday (29), ge reported that the defender was reevaluating his departure.

The main reason would be the value of the salary offer from the English club. According to ge, the difference from what he currently earns at Flamengo is not high, in addition to the high cost of living in London.

Therefore, he would have considered that it is not an advantageous offer and, today (30), ge confirmed that Fabrício Bruno will stay at Flamengo. One of the leaders and a starter for the team, his permanence is celebrated.

Value offered for Fabrício Bruno

The offer made was 15 million euros, around R$ 84 million, at the current exchange rate. Without hesitation, Flamengo agreed to the proposal, leaving Fabrício Bruno to decide his future.

Despite the high value for the Rubro-Negro, the salary offer did not convince the defender. In addition, the contract term would still be shorter, ending at the end of the 2027/28 season.

His current agreement with Flamengo will end at the end of 2028. According to ge, there was an attempt to negotiate a salary increase, but West Ham did not increase the offer.

Fabrício Bruno’s numbers for Flamengo

At 28 years old, Fabrício Bruno has been at Flamengo since 2022, with over 110 matches for the team. In 2023, he had already been a standout for the club.

However, he has been standing out even more in the current season. As a starter, the defender is a key piece for the team’s defensive system.
