Brazilian National Team attracts nearly 300,000 fans to stadiums in 2024

The Brazilian National Team is also a box office success. Nearly 300,000 fans paid to watch Brazil’s games this year. With the 1-1 draw against the United States in Orlando, Florida, the National Team attracted exactly 298,929 spectators to the four stadiums they played in 2024. So far, the average attendance is 74,732 fans per match.

On Wednesday (12), 60,016 people bought tickets to see Dorival Júnior’s team in action at the Camping World Stadium. Even playing against the hosts, the stands were practically occupied by green and yellow shirts.

On Saturday (8), the attendance was the highest of the year. In Texas, 85,249 fans watched the National Team defeat Mexico 3-2. The friendly match was the first of the “soccer”, as our football is known, in one of the most traditional university stadiums in the United States.

In March, Brazil had already drawn another large crowd to the stadiums. On that occasion, the friendlies were in Europe. The match that marked Dorival Júnior’s debut as the National Team’s coach drew 83,664 football fans to Wembley. On that occasion, Brazil defeated England 1-0. In the following match, 70,000 fans witnessed the 3-3 draw with Spain at the Santiago Bernabéu.

After the draw against the United States, Brazil remains training in Orlando until the start of the Copa América. The competition will open on the 20th. Brazil’s debut will be on the 24th. The opponent will be Costa Rica, in Los Angeles. Paraguay and Colombia are also part of the same group in the first phase.
