Luís Castro, the coach of Botafogo, reportedly received a call from Cristiano Ronaldo offering him to take charge of Al Nassr’s project in Saudi Arabia.
The information was revealed by sports columnist Bruno Andrade during UOL’s “De Primeira” program. Luís Castro would be tempted by the enticing offer and the opportunity to work alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, will assess the proposal after talking with John Textor, owner of Botafogo and a key figure in the decision process.

Textor as the intermediary
The same source indicates that the final decision of Luís Castro will be communicated to Textor before being made public. The coach plans to give a quick response and could formalize his choice today.
Although the Botafogo players are pushing for him to stay, this seems unlikely to affect his decision, as Luís Castro has already made a resolution in favor of Al Nassr’s offer, which includes a lucrative contract for two seasons and the prospect of working alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.
With Castro in charge, Botafogo leads the Brazilian league after 12 games played, seven points clear of second place.
