Endrick’s interview with FIFA

In recognition of the Brazilian prodigy, FIFA recently met with Endrick at his Sao Paulo home. Despite his quiet demeanor and ordinary teenage interests like studying and playing video games, Endrick notably refers to his future Real Madrid teammates Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, and Eder Militao as “we,” signaling his preparedness to join the club.

The striker revealed his unwavering commitment to Real Madrid. “I always had my heart set on Real. Other clubs wanted to sign me, but I only ever wanted a move to Real. I’m always talking to Vini, Eder and Rodrygo and I’m hoping that we will bring joy to the Madridistas with our football.”

As he prepares for the €72 million move to Real Madrid, Endrick is mindful of the weight of expectations. “The pressure is enormous, but it drives me to perform better and unite Brazilian fans,” he explained. Still, heremains focused on his development, working hard to handle the intense scrutiny.

Raphael Veiga, a teammate, offers guidance that Endrick takes to heart, stressing the mental game’s importance: “You need a level head, unaffected by extreme praise or harsh criticism,” Veiga advised. Off the field, Endrick unwinds with video games, where he plays as football legends, drawing inspiration for his real-life performances.

Looking ahead, Endrick is eager for international glory, targeting the FIFA World Cup™ and the Olympics. He’s also brushing up on languages in anticipation of his move to Madrid, demonstrating his readiness to embrace new challenges and continue his rise in global football.

The farewell activities will round off in a match against San Lorenzo on Thursday at 7 pm (Brasília time) at the Allianz Parque, marking his last appearance in the Copa Libertadores group stage.
