Enrique Cáceres, President of the CONMEBOL Referees Commission, stresses the significance of the event. “This is a big deal for us all. We’re part of a long tradition, and carrying that forward is a major duty,” he said.

The seminar not only hosts referees from CONMEBOL but also from UEFA and Concacaf, reflecting a broad exchange of expertise. The move to include women highlights CONMEBOL’s push since 2016 to boost women’s roles both in and out of the game.

The tournament itself starts on June 20 and runs until July 14 across the U.S. It will feature ten CONMEBOL teams and six guests from Concacaf, setting the stage for a thrilling display of football.
