Brazil’s national team is gearing up for a lengthy stay in the United States, spanning over six weeks, as they aim for their 10th Copa América title. To keep the players focused, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has limited family and guest access. Currently, 18 players are in Orlando, Florida, and nine more will join them soon.

Family members and other guests are staying in different hotel wings, and players can only see them on specific days off or during approved events. This strict policy helps maintain both the team’s concentration and their physical readiness.

Rodrigo Caetano, coordinator of Brazil’s men’s teams, noted the benefits of this extended period. It allows for more intensive training sessions, essential for refining their strategies. “This longer period gives us more training opportunities,” Caetano said, emphasizing the importance of a positive and disciplined environment for the team’s success.

Brazil will play friendly matches against Mexico on June 8 and the United States on June 12, leading up to their first Copa América game against Costa Rica on June 24. These matches are crucial for fine-tuning their preparations as they seek to clinch another title.

Sambafoot Series launched a new documentary about the football legend Zagallo. Known as ‘Velho Lobo‘ and as superstitious as it gets, Zagallo helped shape what Brazilian football is nowadays — as a player and as a coach.
