As the starting goalkeeper for Brazil in the last World Cup, the 31-year-old emphasized that he is in top form. “I’m at my peak,” Alisson said, recognizing the challenge from Athletico-PR’s Bento and São Paulo’s Rafael.

Despite missing Ederson from Manchester City, Alisson praised newcomer Bento for his solid performances with the national team. “Brazil has many strong goalkeepers, both locally and internationally,” he noted. He also commended Rafael for his consistent and high-quality play, emphasizing the need for strong competition within the squad. “It keeps us sharp and prevents complacency,” he added.

Alisson also made light of his age. “I’m still one of the younger ones, right? Rafael is older than me,” he joked about his 34-year-old teammate.

Looking ahead, Alisson is slated to start in Brazil’s upcoming FIFA friendlies and the Copa América, which begins on June 24. His focus on maintaining high standards reflects his commitment to Brazilian football.
