The United States Women’s League will have strong Brazilian presence in the 2024 season. Bia Zaneratto, who had a great stint with Palmeiras in the last four seasons, was announced as new signing by the Kansas City Current of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), becoming the thirteenth Brazilian footballer to join the league.
With this addition, the South American country will be represented in half of the teams in the competition, with at least one Brazilian in seven clubs. For example, Zaneratto will be teammates with her compatriots Debinha and Lauren. After several years with the Verdao women’s team, the forward will experience her third stint abroad: having played for Hyundai Steel Red Angels in South Korea between 2013 and 2019, she also wore the colors of the Chinese Wuhan Jianghan University between 2020 and 2021.
