Chelsea are experiencing a very difficult start to the season. The latest setback for the Blues was a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Wolverhampton at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, a result that continues to put coach Mauricio Pochettino on the hot seat. The club made a splash in the summer transfer window, yet the results are not coming its way. In the meantime, the players’ morale is giving a lot to talk about, including that of Thiago Silva, whose contract is up at the end of the season.

The cryptic message from Isabelle Silva

While most of the players remained quiet after the match, Isabelle Silva, the wife of Brazilian defender Thiago Silva, took to her social media with a message that made noise in London. On her Instagram account followed by over 160,000 followers, she posted, “It’s time to change. If you wait any longer, it will be too late.”

This cryptic message has sparked numerous questions among Blues supporters. Does it refer to the situation of coach Mauricio Pochettino, who is increasingly under scrutiny? Or does it directly concern her husband Thiago Silva, who could hit the free agency in the summer? It’s not entirely clear, as Isabelle Silva is known for speaking openly on social media, as she did when her husband was still playing for Paris Saint-Germain.

Silva, 39, has so far been unclear about his intentions for next season. A return to Fluminense seems to be on the cards, but he refused to confirm whether he wants to stay in Europe or if he’s ready to go back to Brazil. Only time will tell us where Silva will be playing in the 2024/25 term.
