Chelsea broke the bank last season, but it didn"t pay off. Now the Blues are expected to try and improve their squad without spending so much, which is why they"ve been linked with a move for Paulo Dybala. Even though the AS Roma star is one of the best players in Serie A, he reportedly has a €10 million release clause for teams outside Italy.
Therefore, this looks like a great opportunity for many European giants, including the London side. Chelsea captain Thiago Silva didn"t hide his feelings on potentially having the Argentine as teammate, making it clear he would love Dybala to play at Stamford Bridge. In fact, the Brazilian revealed he talked with the attacking midfield about this.

Thiago Silva wants Paulo Dybala to join him at Chelsea
“I saw Paulo Dybala here, they [the media] talk about him coming to Chelsea," Silva told Sky Sport Italia at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix in Silverstone, via Metro. “I’ve talked with him and asked him if he is coming. He is a world-class player. ‘I would love to play with him and it would be a massive signing. Let’s see."

Dybala, however, said he"s happy in Rome, where he"s highly appreciated by AS Roma coach Jose Mourinho. He has two more years under contract, but his cheap release clause will probably draw many teams interested in his services. Chelsea, for instance, could definitely use a player of his caliber for such a low price.
The Blues left a lot to be desired last term, having failed to qualify for continental competition and almost flirting with relegation spots in the final weeks of the campaign. Now, they hope Mauricio Pochettino gets them back on track.
