Barcelona outlet Sport reports that the Cules have made Vitor Roque their priority target this summer. The Athletico Paranaense sensation has been linked with a Camp Nou move for a while now, and it looks like the board doesn’t want to miss out on a generational talent.

At 18, Roque has already established himself in the starting lineup of his current team. This season, the striker boasts an impressive 15 goals and three assists in 33 appearances. Barcelona, however, would have to figure out how to afford his price tag.

Barcelona would have to sell players to afford Vitor Roque

Athletico Paranaense reportedly expects €30 million plus add-ons to let their gem go, so the only way LaLiga would let Barcelona complete that transfer would be if they sell players. The Spanish league has given green light to Barcelona’s plan to justify how they’ll get €200m in the next two years thanks to incomes and cost reduction.

However, only 40% of every €100m they get can be used to register players. Barca have been allowed to register a number of players who had their contracts renewed, but without departures, they won’t be able to get Roque on board. Ansu Fati, Kessie, and Ferran Torres would be on their way out to make room for the Brazilian prospect.
