In a column for Betfair, Rivaldo voted Casemiro as the best Brazilian in the 2022-23 Premier League. The 1999 FIFA World Player of the Year emphasized on the courage shown by the Manchester United midfielder by leaving Real Madrid to challenge himself in England.
The Brazilian midfielder shocked the world last year, when he decided to end his successful tenure at the then reigning European champions to join a club that was trying to get back on its feet. He immediately made an impact at Old Trafford and Rivaldo had nothing but praise for him.

Rivaldo explains why Casemiro was the best Brazilian in the Premier League season
“I choose Casemiro as the best Brazilian in the English top flight for his fast and fantastic adaptation. He joined a struggling club and immediately became one of the stars of the team,” Rivaldo said.
“He was brave enough to trade the security of playing for Real Madrid for a complicated challenge. He helped United finish third and, in doing so, secure a place in the next Champions League. They won the League Cup and will challenge for the FA Cup against Manchester City in Saturday’s final.”
It didn’t take long for Casemiro to become a leader both on and off the field at his new club, helping United get back to Champions League football. Now, his team is about to take the crosstown rivals with the oldest trophy in football history up for grabs.
