Many Brazilian footballers play in the best European leagues, but neither the distance nor the time abroad make them forget about their home country. Richarlison, for instance, has recently confessed that he keeps an eye on the Brazilian league, especially to stay informed about his favorite team: Vasco da Gama.
In an appearance on the show “Desimpedidos,” the Tottenham star named the Rio de Janeiro club as the team he would like to play for in his homeland. Although he holds affection for Fluminense and América Mineiro, his former clubs before moving to the Old Continent, Richarlison revealed that his entire family supports Vasco.

Richarlison, a huge Vasco fan
“Can it be two? Fluminense or Vasco. My whole family supports Vasco, I am a Fluminense supporter because I played there, but I am also fan of Vasco. This is the first time I mention my team here in Brazil. Those are the two teams, and also América Mineiro,” he said. “I follow Vasco here until late at night, I arrive at the training center tired, sometimes angry (laughs).”
At 26 years of age, Richarlison still has a lot of time left in Europe. But who knows, maybe later in his career he will have the opportunity to return to Brazil to fulfill the dream of representing his boyhood club.
