The saga of Reinier has finally come to a close. For the fourth consecutive year, the player will leave Real Madrid on loan in search of more playing time. This time, his destination is Granada, where he has already been welcomed with open arms and treated like a “king.”

“Welcome to the throne,” wrote the official social media account of the Spanish club in a video introducing the Brazilian. The Rojiblancos will compete in LaLiga 2 (Spain’s Segunda División) this season after being relegated from LaLiga last year.

The 22-year-old was close to joining EFL Championship side Norwich City, but the club wanted to include a purchase option regardless of its results, while Madrid were only willing to accept that clause in the event Norwich secured Premier League promotion.
