In a shocking turn of events, Brazilian right-back Vinicius Tobias looks set to stay at Real Madrid Castilla next season. According to AS, the Spanish club reached an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk to keep the player on loan for one more year.
The 19-year-old joined Los Blancos’ B team in the summer of 2022, also on a one-year loan, but his future at the club looked uncertain as he eventually fell down in the pecking order of coach Raúl. Even so, it looks like Madrid haven’t given up on him yet.

New Vinicius Tobias deal reportedly includes expensive buy option
The report claims that Real Madrid not only paid 500,000 euros to renew the loan deal, but also agreed to include a buy option of 15 million euros in the event they want to make Tob’ias’ contract permanent. After all, they seem to believe in his potential.
The full-back made 35 appearances this season, starting in 30 of those games. He didn’t have much room in the playoffs, but the club still wants to keep him close. Who knows, maybe they end up realizing his buy option is worth every single penny.
