The rumor mill is in full swing ahead of the 2023-24 European season. Brazilian forward Danilo is one of the names making headlines in this transfer window, with Scottish giants Rangers reportedly keen on signing the Feyenoord hitman, who reportedly wants out of the Netherlands.

According to Daily Record, Danilo let the Dutch club know he wants a move to Ibrox this summer. But a deal wouldn’t come cheap, though, since the Eredivisie champions have reportedly rejected a £3.5m offer from the Glasgow outfit. If Rangers increase their bid to £5 million, they could finally get the 24-year-old.

Danilo facing plenty of competition at Feyenoord

Even though he found the net on 12 occasions in 44 appearances, Danilo does not seem to be priority for Feyenoord manager Arne Slot. Last season, he started on just 14 matches as Mexican striker Santiago Gimenez has been above him in the pecking order. Therefore, the Brazilian seems to be looking for more playing time in Scotland.

Rangers will play in the third round of the UEFA Champions League qualifiers, so landing a player of Danilo’s caliber seems to be crucial for their continental aspirations. Besides, we’re talking about a young striker who still has his entire career ahead of him.
