Back in the day, Arthur Melo was one of the most exciting prospects in Brazilian football. Following a breakout year with Gremio in 2017, Barcelona secured his signature for a reported €31 million in July 2018. But two years later, the Spanish club sent him to Juventus for Miralem Pjanic, and nothing was the same since then.
Arthur’s progress hit a wall in Turin, eventually leaving for Liverpool on loan in 2022. Unfortunately, his stint at Anfield didn’t go to plan, as injuries limited him to just 13 minutes in the entire season. Even so, the 26-year-old is reportedly drawing interest from other Premier League teams.

Arthur Melo reportedly draws interest in England
According to Mundo Deportivo, Arthur is targeted by three English clubs: Aston Villa, Brighton, and Newcastle. All these clubs will be playing European football next season, so they could definitely be an interesting landing spot for the midfielder, who is looking to revitalize his career.
The Villans have a serious project under Unai Emery, who guided them to the UEFA Conference League, while the Seagulls are also making an impression with Roberto De Zerbi at the helm and are about to play in the Europa League for the first time. The Magpies, however, seem to be in an even better spot since they’ve qualified for the Champions League, while their financial power has also increased.
Only time will tell us, but a return to the Premier League may be the kind of opportunity Arthur needs to get his career back on track.
