Andre Jardine has taken the reins of Club America aiming to bring back glory days to Estadio Azteca. The Aguilas have failed to win a league title since the 2018 Apertura, which is why the Brazilian coach has a challenging task ahead of him. Anything short of a trophy will probably put his job in danger.

Therefore, Jardine is expected to ask the club to make a few signings. The former Atletico San Luis manager reportedly wanted to land Gabigol, but the Flamengo star seems to be out of their reach. However, it looks like five more fellow Brazilians are on his shortlist.

Five Brazilians reportedly on Jardine’s radar for Club America

According to 90min, Jardine wants to reunite with three players who won the Olympic gold medal in Tokyo 2020: Gabriel Menino, Nino, and Guilherme Arana. Additionally, the 43-year-old coach would be interested in Rafael Elias, who runs out of contract at Palmeiras, and Paulinho, who is at Atletico Mineiro on loan from Bayern Leverkusen.

Since Jardine finds himself in a new place, it makes sense that he wants to have some familiar faces in his squad. America will demand the very best from the coach, so now he has to make sure he can count on everyone to deliver results.
