Richarlison and Emerson Royal could have another fellow countryman as teammate in the 2023-24 season. With Harry Kane’s future up in the air, the Daily Mail reports that Tottenham have set their sights on Brazilian forward Arthur Cabral as a potential target in case the English superstar leaves.

Kane only has a year left in his contract, and since he reportedly has no intention of signing a new deal, Spurs would consider cashing in this summer. Cabral, 25, has been making an impression in the Serie A with Fiorentina, who reached both the Coppa Italia and the UEFA Conference League final last term.

Is it time for Arthur Cabral to take a step forward?

The Brazilian forward has been making progress in Europe in recent years. Born in Campina Grande, Cabral started his career at the Ceara academy before joining Palmeiras, where he made his first professional steps until catching Basel’s eye. The striker scored an impressive 65 goals in 106 games in Switzerland between 2019 and 2022, when he left for Fiorentina.

Viola bagged a reported €15 million to acquire Arthur Cabral’s services, and he paid them back with 19 goals in 64 appearances. Last season, Cabral found the net on 17 occasions in 48 games across all competitions. Should Tottenham decide to part with Kane, this could be an interesting alternative since Cabral is still young.
