Winner 2024
Striker Wesley Gassova is the winner of the Samba Gold 2024 award. At 19, the player, who was sold to Al Nassr, won the prestigious award for the first time, standing out mainly for his outstanding performances for Corinthians, where he was named one of the greatest revelations in Brazilian soccer.
Wesley Gassova topped the podium, beating off strong competition from PSG defender Lucas Beraldo, who came second, and Real Madrid striker Endrick, who came third. The striker won the voters’ preference after a good season, especially for his decisive performances for Corinthians, who, although they played in important competitions such as the Brazilian Championship, the Copa do Brasil and the Copa Sudamericana, didn’t win any titles.
His move to Al Nassr, a Saudi Arabian team with star Cristiano Ronaldo, further consolidated his status as one of the great promises of Brazilian soccer.
With the award, Wesley Gassova has established himself as one of the biggest names in the new generation of Brazilian players and is looking forward to continuing his successful career in international soccer.
