2024 Winner
Striker Wesley Gassova is the winner of the Samba Gold 2024 award. At 19 years old, the player, who was sold to Al Nassr, won the prestigious award for the first time, standing out mainly for his high-level performances at Corinthians, where he was appointed as one of the biggest revelations in Brazilian football.
Wesley Gassova was at the top of the podium, beating strong competitors such as defender Lucas Beraldo, from PSG, who took second place, and striker Endrick, from Real Madrid, who took third place. The striker won the voters’ preference after a good season, especially due to his decisive performances at Corinthians, which, despite having played in important competitions such as the Campeonato Brasileiro, the Copa do Brasil and the Copa Sudamericana, did not win titles.
His transfer to Al Nassr, a Saudi Arabian team that features star Cristiano Ronaldo, further consolidated his status as one of the great promises of Brazilian football.
With the award, Wesley Gassova establishes himself as one of the biggest names in the new generation of Brazilian players and continues with the expectation of continuing his successful trajectory in international football.
