Corinthians are in talks to sell 17-year-old midfielder Gabriel Moscardo to Chelsea very soon. The English club’s offer includes both a fixed amount and additional bonuses for goals scored.

Transfer details of Gabriel Moscardo’s move to Chelsea

Here is more information on the deal according to UOL:

  • The total amount could be around 25 million euros (which is approximately R$ 132.7 million).
  • Chelsea has presented a proposal of 21 million euros (R$ 111.5 million) as an initial payment.
  • There is an extra 4 million euros (R$ 21.2 million) based on achieving specific objectives.
  • This offer covers 100% of the midfielder’s economic rights. Currently, Timão owns 80% of those rights, while the remaining 20% belong to the player himself.
  • 10% of any future sale will go to Corinthians. There’s also a condition that Moscardo will stay in Brazil until at least June 2024, when he will have turned 18.

This negotiation between Corinthians and Chelsea, reaching up to 25 million euros, would mark the most expensive deal in Brazil involving a midfielder from a first-team.

For comparison, this transfer is expected to surpass deals like Danilo’s transfer for 20 million euros (from Palmeiras to Nottingham Forest) and Andrey’s fixed deal for 12.5 million euros (from Vasco to the same Chelsea).

While attracting interest from Barcelona and Nottingham Forest in recent months, Gabriel Moscardo is regarded as one of the most promising talents in Corinthians’ recent history.

Moscardo entered the professional scene with the team’s black and white jersey in 2023, having participated in 10 official matches so far.
