The Brazilian National Team will seek to start from scratch in 2024. After the departure of Ednaldo, his eventual return, the dismissal of Diniz and the appointment of Dorival Júnior, everything seems to indicate that the next big change will come in the position of the coordinator of the national team. There are several candidates to take on that position.

At the time, the name of Filipe Luís was heard loudly, who would have rejected the offer to focus on his future career as a coach and now, according to Diario Sport, the one who aims to be chosen by the CBF would be the legend of the Brazilian National Team and Flamengo , Arthur Antunes Coimbra, better known as Zico.

The CBF sets Zico as its favorite to assume the position of coordinator

Journalist Joaquim Piera reports in Sport that the CBF wants to make a splash by appointing Zico, an extremely loved and respected figure in the country, as the new Brazilian National Team coordinator.

This, with the intention of bringing a breath of fresh air to the offices of the Brazilian Federation, which has been strongly criticized and beaten by public opinion due to the controversies of its managers and the poor results of the national team.

The intention would be to tempt Zico to accept the position and be Dorival Júnior’s right-hand man, working side by side with the new coach with the intention of getting the team back on track for the 2024 Copa América and the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
