Striker Yuri Tanque, currently playing for Jeju United in the K-League, South Korea’s top division, recently celebrated a significant milestone in his career: 150 matches as a professional player.
Having developed in the youth academies of Cruzeiro and Atlético Mineiro, Yuri took his first steps in professional football wearing the Ponte Preta jersey, also having stints with Guarani, Coimbra, Leixões (Portugal), Gainare Tottori (Japan), Ferroviária, and Capivariano.

Determined to continue his successful trajectory, Yuri celebrated the accumulation of matches that brought him to this point with gratitude and hope: “I recently completed 150 games in my career, a milestone that I will cherish with great affection and gratitude to God and to each club that was part of this journey. I can say that these were just the first steps of many more experiences and special stories for me to live in football,” declared the player.
In 2022, while playing for Guarani, he gained prominence by helping the club escape the relegation zone and achieve an impressive tenth place in the Série B of the Campeonato Brasileiro, with a total of seven goals and two assists in 17 games. That same year, he shone in the A3 series of the Campeonato Paulista with Capivariano, becoming the competition’s top scorer and earning a spot in the selection of the eleven best players of the tournament. In 2023, the striker took an important step in his international career by debuting in the K-League and reaching the final of the Korean Cup with Jeju United.
