The answers for Corinthians may be in the youth teams, again. Some jewels may appear among the selected players, and soon one of the names that the fans may start to get used to is Luiz Gustavo Bahia, the U-20 midfielder. The player has been with the club since he was 11 years old, was a champion of the São Paulo Junior Football Cup, and has already trained with the first team this season.

Bahia has played for the Brazilian youth national teams and was even called up for the U-17 World Cup in 2023, but was ultimately cut due to an injury. A starter and captain in all the club’s youth categories, he is a young player with potential, who was recently scouted by the City Group. Due to the shortage in the position, he is a name for the Corinthians fans to keep an eye on in the coming months.
