With Endrick and John Kennedy, U-23 Brazil is called up for the Pre-Olympic Tournament

Competition starts on January 20th in Venezeula and classifies the first two placed for the Paris Games

The coach of the U23 Men’s National Team, Ramon Menezes, called up this Thursday (21) the 23 players who will compete in the Pre-Olympic Tournament. The competition will take place in Venezuela between January 20th and February 11th, 2024.

From the group called up, Ramon called, for the first time, striker Endrick, from Palmeiras, midfielder Danilo, from Nottingham Forest, and full-back Luan Cândido, from Red Bull Bragantino.

In the first phase, the Brazilian team is in Group A and will face Venezuela, Colombia, Bolivia and Ecuador. The Selection begins preparations on January 8th at Granja Comary, in Teresópolis. On the 16th, the delegation leaves for Venezuela.

The Seleção‘s debut will be against Bolivia, on the 23rd. The second game will be on the 26th against Colombia. The last opponent in the group stage will be Venezuela, on the 29th.

The format of the tournament dispute is the same as the last edition, with the two best classified teams in each group advancing to the quadrangular. The first two in the final phase guarantee a place in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Brazil is the current two-time Olympic champion in men’s football.
