Neymar was questioned about his future on Monday (3). The president of Santos, Marcelo Teixeira, dreams of the player’s return to the club in the 2025 season.

But Neymar cooled the speculation about a possible return to Peixe. He spoke about the topic before the start of the auction promoted by the Neymar Jr. Institute on Monday, in São Paulo.

“No, what they said (about an agreement with Santos for 2025) is totally false, there is nothing planned. I have one more year of contract with Al-Hilal and I intend to have a great season, because I was out. There is a long time ahead,” said Neymar.

“It is obvious that Santos is my heart team and that I want to return, but there is nothing planned (for next season),” continued the striker.

The injury

Neymar also spoke about the recovery process from the serious knee injury he had. The athlete will return to the pitches in the second half of this year.

“It’s going (the recovery). It’s painful. A lot of suffering. But I’m recovering. It’s been seven months since the injury. A few more are missing. But we’re going,” he said.

Ballon d’Or

Neymar also said he had a conversation with Vinicius Júnior recently. The Al-Hilal player expressed confidence that the Real Madrid player will win the Ballon d’Or this season.

“As for Vini, obviously the Ballon d’Or is his. I’m rooting for him. I sent a message before the game, post-game. He is a boy I love with passion. Great friend that football has given me. For sure, he will be crowned with the Ballon d’Or,” he praised.

“He’s amazing, carrying the flag of our country around the world. We’re very happy and we root for him,” he added.
