Palmeiras defeated Cuiabá 2-0 on the road in the fifth round of the Brasileirão, but Endrick left the game somewhat upset. Shortly before being replaced at 58 minutes, the young attacker failed to seize a golden opportunity in a counterattack when he found himself one-on-one with goalkeeper Walter.
Already on the bench, the 17-year-old was clearly frustrated, although he later looked happy when Estêvão extended the team’s lead through the penalty spot.

Speaking to reporters, Abel Ferreira downplayed Endrick’s moment of anger, describing him as a “Fominha simpático,” something like a “friendly greedy” or “Kind Ball Hog” in the sense that he always wants to be on the pitch, ask for the ball, and give his best.

“He came out with open arms, upset for having failed in that play. He is a ‘friendly greedy,’ everyone loves him, we love him, and he knows that wherever he goes, he takes a piece of us, the coaches, the staff, the players,” said the Portuguese coach.
“We will continue to enjoy them while they are with us. Unfortunately, Endrick will have to leave us, and I only say that they should continue to enjoy and prepare for every upcoming game. Thursday, we already have another one,” added Ferreira about the youngsters on the squad.
