Former Manchester United Brazilian midfielder Kleberson recently revealed a tense altercation with legend Sir Alex Ferguson during his days at the club in an interview with Daily Mail. After joining United for €6.5 million in 2003, Kleberson unwittingly took Ferguson’s reserved parking space during training.
When Ferguson arrived, he started screaming furiously. Kleberson, whose English was still weak, did not understand what was happening. His teammates then explained to him that he had parked at Ferguson’s location.

“You are crazy! You’re going to be fired tomorrow!”, they told him. Fortunately for Kleberson, Ferguson didn’t fire him. Despite this unfortunate incident, the Brazilian has excellent memories of his trainer. “I was very lucky to have a coach like him. I learned a lot,” he said.
With his strong personality, Ferguson was able to effectively manage the locker room full of stars with strong egos. Kleberson was thus able to be part of the Premier League champion team in 2003, although he only played 20 matches due to injuries. Now aged 44, the former 2002 World Cup winner is starting a new career as an assistant coach at NYC FC.
Kleberson arrived at Old Trafford a year after being world champion with the Brazil national team. Along with the midfielder, a young Portuguese player, still unknown, coming from Sporting Lisbon. His name: Cristiano Ronaldo. The rest is history.
