One of the standout players of the 2023/2024 Serie A season is Brazilian and not very well known to the general public. In the summer of 2022, Atalanta signed a certain Éderson José dos Santos Lourenço da Silva, known in football as Éderson, from Salernitana for a high fee of around 21.40 million euros.
In his first season at La Dea, the midfielder born in Campo Grande quickly secured a spot in the starting lineup, playing a total of 37 games in all competitions, in which he scored a goal and provided an assist. Éderson has already scored six goals for Atalanta this season and is attracting interest from England.

This year, the versatile footballer, who can cover defensive, creative, and offensive duties, has already scored six goals and provided an assist in 27 games, achieving his best figures as a professional.
Éderson developed his sporting skills at Desportivo Brasil and later made the leap to Cruzeiro, where he only played for a year. He joined Corinthians on a free transfer in 2020 and was loaned to Fortaleza in 2021 before being sold to Salernitana for around 6.50 million euros in January 2022.
His strong performance in the current season has not gone unnoticed, and transfer market journalist Ekrem Konur claims that up to three Premier League elite teams are closely monitoring him for a possible summer signing. Clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United, or Newcastle are reportedly keeping tabs on him.
The player born in 1999 has a contract with Atalanta until 2026 and, according to the specialized source TransferMarkt, his market value is estimated at around 27.00 million euros.
