The Copa America is the oldest competition in international football, which explains its importance not only in South America, but also in the beautiful game history. Brazil have lifted the trophy on an impressive nine occasions, but there are other countries with more victories.

Argentina and Uruguay share the record for being the winningest Copa America teams with 15 titles each, followed by La Verdeamarela’s nine triumphs.

Paraguay, Chile, and Peru are also among the winners’ list with two trophies each, whereas Colombia and Bolivia got to win the competition once. Ecuador is the only Conmebol team that has never won the Copa America so far.
