Last Sunday Vinicius Junior was left out of the Real Madrid loss against Atletico Madrid due to a gastroenteritis. The Brazilian player, who had been away from the team for almost a month (sustained a thigh injury against Celta de Vigo), was about to return to the pitch, but his return had to be postponed.
Vini Jr. also had to be cut of coach Fernando Diniz’s first call-up of the Brazilian National Team, but he will be back to the tean in the South American Qualifiers games in October.

When will he play?
Vinicius probably would take part in the game against Atletico, according to Carlo Ancelotti, because he was already recovered. But, just before the match, Real Madrid announced that he would need to be sidelined again.
As of the injury, Vinicius was expected to play only on September 30th, against Girona, but now is highly likely that he will be available on Wednesday (27) against Las Palmas.
Real Madrid is now in 3rd place of La Liga. The loss in the Madrid derby against Atletico was the first one of the merengues in the tournament.
