The announcement of the defender"s return, after 16 years playing in Europe, was made by the club on Tuesday (07), leaving the fans eager for his return to the field. However, president Mario Bittencourt detailed that a little patience will still be necessary before seeing him in action under the command of coach Fernando Diniz.

When will the presentation be?
The presentation of the defender to the club does not have a specific date yet, but the president promised a special reception in Rio de Janeiro, similar to the one that occurred with Marcelo.
Thiago Silva"s love for Fluminense was highlighted as one of the main reasons for his return to the club, even with proposals from European teams. Thus, he has signed a two-year contract, until mid-2026.

Bittencourt expressed his happiness to announce the player"s return, emphasizing his admiration for Thiago Silva, which he began to follow as a fan in the stands.
For him, it is a great achievement to have the defender back on the team, something that will certainly bring joy to the Tricolor fans.

“He will arrive in the first fortnight of June, and will start training. He will be fit to play from July 10, when the transfer window opens. The contract is valid from July 1 and he will play from July 10," he explained, in a live on social media.
“We still don"t have a specific date for the presentation, but we will have a beautiful presentation in Rio de Janeiro, as it was with Marcelo. Arrival at the airport and then with our fans," he stressed.
