Gabriel Jesus will not play for Arsenal in this season"s debut as he is recovering from a knee injury. The club has not yet determined exactly when he will be back to the field, but Mikel Arteta thinks that he will be able to start an activity routine on the next week.
“It"s still a little early (to know), less than two weeks since the operation. Hopefully he [Gabriel Jesus] can start doing something next week. He"s doing well, honestly. But it"s something that we"re going to be wary of and make sure it comes back the right way," he said in a press conference.

An injured right knee
Jesus has been suffering with problems on his right knee since the World Cup. He got hurt for the first time while defending Brazil and it took him a while, almost 100 days, to get back to playing. It was only right on the end of last season"s campaign that the club was able to count on the number 9 once again.
He was living a very good phase before and, when he came back, he was able to keep it going.
Now, however, the Brazilian has suffered another blow and had to be sidelined in the friendly against Monaco, in the Football Association Community Shield title against Manchester City and will also lose tomorrow"s (12) game against Nottingham Forest at least.
