Santos, Fluminense suffered the biggest defeats in a Club World Cup final

Barcelona’s 4-0 win over Santos in 2011 is, along with City’s recent triumph over Flu, the biggest triumph in a Club World Cup final. The Brazilian team was led by a young Neymar and other stars such as Ganso (who will face Guardiola again with Fluminense), but Barça’s strength with the likes of Lionel Messi, Xavi, and Iniesta was too much for the then Libertadores champs.

While European teams dominate the record, these finals were one of the few where the scoreline truly reflected a significant difference.
