The Al-Hilal striker is on vacation and in the final stage of recovery from the knee injury he suffered, and was present at the Maior do Mundo (Greatest in the World). Neymar spent part of the game with a Flamengo shirt on his shoulder.

Neymar to Flamengo?

Marcos Braz talks about Neymar
After Flamengo’s victory over Grêmio, the rubro-negro’s football vice-president, Marcos Braz, gave a press conference and told journalists that Flamengo is not negotiating Neymar’s signing.
“At this moment it is madness to think of this signing. It is unfair for us to come and make any jokes about it,” Braz said firmly.
Braz’s history of denying Neymar’s signing
In 2023, Braz addressed the issue as a ‘utopia’.
“It is a utopia to bring Neymar in at this moment. And also next year. There are financial, contractual and business issues. He is on a different shelf in world football,” the director said last year.
Earlier in 2024, Braz remained cautious, but did not completely close the doors.
“Neymar will always be welcome at Flamengo for obvious reasons. Now, in my head, it is an impossible signing today. There are several points that raise questions in a signing like this, even because of his current contract that runs until 2027. I hope that if he wants to play for Flamengo, he will always be welcome. If someone gives me the way to go after Neymar, I will go immediately, I will ask Landim for permission and I will go for it,” Braz declared in April this year.
