The Brazilian national team achieved a crushing victory over Paraguay, winning 4-1 in Las Vegas, during the second round of the 2024 Copa América.
With this result, Brazil improved its position in Group D, but still needs at least a draw against Colombia to secure qualification for the next phase.

What does Brazil need to do to qualify?
If Brazil beats Colombia, they will advance as Group D leaders and face the second-place finisher from Group C in the round of 16. A draw will still guarantee them passage to the next round, but in second place, behind the already qualified Colombia.
In case of a defeat, Brazil could be eliminated if Costa Rica beats Paraguay by a wide margin of goals or if Brazil suffers a heavy defeat against Colombia.
Possible quarterfinal matchups
If they qualify for the quarterfinals, Brazil will face a team from Group C. If they finish first in Group D, their opponent will be the second-place team, which will likely be one of Panama, the United States, or Bolivia. Uruguay, with six points and practically guaranteed as the Group C leader, should face the second-place team from Brazil’s group.
