Defender Marquinhos analyzed the match against Paraguay on Thursday (27). On Friday (28), Brazil will play their second match in the Copa América. In Las Vegas, the team led by Dorival Júnior will try to achieve their first victory in the continental competition. Grupo Globo will broadcast the match starting at 10pm (Brasilia time).

“Each game has its own history, its own aspect, two strategies, playing against a different team. I can’t predict how it will be (the game against Paraguay), I can have a more or less idea, we have faced them many times, a combative team, that defends well, but that is increasingly gaining quality to put us in danger. We have to be careful, as we were against Costa Rica,” said the Paris Saint-Germain defender.

“It’s about bringing the good things we did, if they have a different posture we will be ready. And improve on what we did against Costa Rica,” he added.

One of the most experienced in the group, Marquinhos praised Dorival Júnior’s work in leading the National Team and said he is confident in the team’s success in the Copa América. The Paris Saint-Germain player asked for calmness with the work of the National Team.

“All coaches have a strategy. It’s about continuing the path, Dorival has always shown us improvements. It was my second game with him and I could already see some things he wants, that he likes,” said the 30-year-old defender.

“These two days have been very productive for us. Our attitude and our progress in what we will do on the field are very important,” he completed.

Marquinhos took the opportunity of the press conference held at the Allegiant Stadium to make a request to the fans.

“I take the opportunity to ask all Brazilians, all who cheer for the National Team, to continue supporting us, with the same faith in us. I think the energy, the cheering, knowing that there are many people who want us to win on the field is very important,” asked the defender, who made his debut for the National Team in 2013.

“We players know that we can improve from the last game, there was frustration, we saw it in the locker room because of the result, but being clear and sincere that there were good things, aspects that we worked on and improved, it’s about taking the good things, improving what can be improved. This is the way to return to victories, the group gaining strength, gaining weight and integration with the changes that happened after the World Cup. Everything will work out, it will be fine, and the fan will have more and more joy with the National Team.”
