With limited playing time and having not shone last season at Barcelona, forward Vitor Roque may leave the club during this transfer window, six months after his arrival.

Barcelona sees a potential sale of the Brazilian forward as an opportunity to raise funds to invest in positions that need reinforcement. An Arab club is reportedly considering making an offer for Vitor Roque.

Which club?

  • According to the Catalan newspaper Sport, Al-Hilal from Saudi Arabia is interested in signing Vitor Roque.
  • Initially, Barcelona’s plan was for a loan, but the club may end up selling if a “stratospheric offer” comes in.
  • There is also interest from Lazio in Italy to secure the former Cruzeiro and Athletico-PR forward on loan.

How much did Barcelona pay for Vitor Roque?

In 2023, Athletico-PR completed the sale of Vitor Roque to Barcelona, in a deal that could reach 74 million euros (approximately R$ 451.35 million at current exchange rates). However, part of this money is contingent on performance targets, and it cannot be included in any future negotiations.

Vitor Roque’s release clause at Barcelona is set at 1 billion euros (approximately R$ 6.1 billion at current exchange rates). Last season, he played 16 matches for Barça, scoring two goals and providing no assists.

Vitor Roque “lost” his jersey number

After standing out for the Spanish national team in the Euro Championship and becoming a champion, forward Lamine Yamal returned to Barcelona with confidence, taking the number 19 jersey, which was previously worn by Vitor Roque.

The 17-year-old Euro champion with Spain wears number 19 for the national team. The iconic number 10 jersey, once worn by Ronaldinho and Messi, currently has no owner.
