Barcelona striker Vitor Roque has made the cut, despite the former Athletico Paranaense player being snubbed in Barça’s matchday squad for the LaLiga opener against Valencia. Brazil U20 coach Ramon Menezes has named 23 players, who are expected to report on the morning of September 2nd.

The team will hold three training sessions in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro before facing Mexico. The players will then return to their clubs on the morning of September 9th. This call-up is part of the team’s preparation for the South American U20 Championship, which will take place in Peru in January 2025.

Several players from major European clubs have been included, such as Gabriel Moscardo from Paris Saint-Germain, Luis Guilherme from West Ham, and Pedro Lima from Wolverhampton. The Brazilian squad will feature promising young talents who are already competing at the highest level.
