Brazil’s defeat in its visit to Uruguay in the Qualifiers once again generated unrest around the Seleção. Although Fernando Diniz had started his cycle with two victories in the September window, the lack of wins in October (1-1 with Venezuela and 0-2 against La Celeste) is worrying. In addition to the coach, several players were targeted for their recent performances. Among them, Vinicius Junior.

The most common criticism made to the former Flamengo is the difference between the level he maintains at Real Madrid with the lack of consistency when representing his country. Vini himself, in fact, showed disagreement with his presentations with Amarelinha.

Vinicius wants to improve his image with the Seleção

“I was very bad in the game, I was very bad in the last game too. I have a lot to improve, the team also has a lot to improve. But it’s about having a clear head to be able to do the best for the team,” declared the 23-year-old player in conversation with Ge.

“I think that my cycle in the Seleção has not yet been what I expected. I have a lot to evolve to be able to play the best I can, like I do at Real. Of course, the pressure is also great. And I’m always prepared, wanting to evolve, wanting to improve as quickly as possible to help the team.”

After the FIFA date in October, the Brazilian team is in third place in the South American Qualifiers heading to the 2026 World Cup with seven points, five behind the leader Argentina. Vinicius and company will return to action in November, when they visit Colombia on Thursday the 16th, and then host the Albiceleste five days later.
