Real Madrid announced today that it has agreed with Vinicius Junior to extend the contract until June 30, 2023. The official statement does not specify the new figures, but according to the Spanish press the attacker would become one of the highest paid in the squad and It would have a termination clause of 1,000 million euros.

Coming from Flamengo in 2018, the 23-year-old forward has become a key player for Merengue. In his six seasons he played 235 games, in which he scored 63 goals and won 9 titles: 1 Champions League, 2 Club World Cups, 1 European Super Cup, 2 Leagues, 1 Copa del Rey and 2 Spanish Super Cups.

“It’s a dream”

After the news became official, Vini celebrated it on social networks. “Hello Madrid fans. I am very happy to renew my contract. It’s a dream for me. I hope I can continue for many years, scoring many goals and winning many titles,” he said in a video recorded at the Ballon d’Or gala, where he was recognized with the Socrates Award for his solidarity work.
