Vinicius Junior is experiencing another great season in the Real Madrid uniform, with which he hopes to win the UEFA Champions League for the second consecutive season. However, his team’s campaign in La Liga leaves a lot to be desired.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are trailing behind in the title fight, and their recent 4-2 loss to Girona further favors Barelona. Vini was also affected by the referee’s decisions during the match, and he made it known on social media.

Vinicius protests against LaLiga on Twitter

The Brazilian winger turned to his Twitter account to show his anger with the decisions. Vinicius read a tweet suggesting he was unfairly booked, and reposted it with indirect criticism of the competition.

“Vinicius was lying on the ground and the Girona player kicked him with the ball. Vini complained, they took a card and the rival nothing”, wrote the Mundo da Bola account in Portuguese, to which Vini replied “LaLiga” along with emoticons to show his irony.

Vinicius saw the yellow card when he protested a play in which he claimed the hit received by Santi Bueno. Although he was able to score, without a doubt he will prefer to remember other games.

The card, however, was just a small problem in the reality of the game. After scoring his goal, Vinicius was racially abused by fans, who called him mono, which means monkey in Spanish. The player reacted by showing his Champion of the World patch. However, it only fueled reactions towards him: fans continued to chant and offend the Brazilian.

Racial abuses against Vinicius have been part of this season and he has stated his complaints to La Liga, yet nothing happened to the offenders.
