Striker Pablo Vegetti, from Vasco, was elected the Best Player of September in the Brasileirão, in a vote carried out by journalists from all over Brazil. Since his arrival at Cruzmaltino, Vegetti has become one of the team’s references in the tournament and one of the fans’ favorites.

In the four games in September, there were five goals scored and one assist, in a vast repertoire: high shots, headers, penalties, volleys and counterattacks.

Vasco found its way back to winning ways with the hiring of Vegetti and coach Ramon Diaz. Today, the Rio club occupies 16th place in the table, with 30 points.

“It is always very important to receive this award, because I managed to help the team to achieve positive results, to win matches. Whenever I can help with the best for Vasco, it will be very important”, he said.

The prize of the month guarantees the winner the right to allocate a ton of food to an institution pre-selected by Instituto Assaí, the social organization of Assaí Atacadista. Pablo Vegetti’s choice was the Arteiros Institute (Rio against hunger), which develops art, human rights and education work focused on Cidade de Deus, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, located close to the Vasco Training Center.

“It is very important to be able to collaborate and deliver the donation to Instituto Arteiros, which is close to CT, here in Cidade de Deus. So, (I’m) very happy to be able to collaborate with them”, he thanked.
